Nutrition has always been a hot topic. People want to know what foods are good for our bodies and what can harm us. But sometimes even scientists are wrong and have to withdraw or change their statements months or even years later.

Food that is good for your health
People have been told to limit egg consumption due to cholesterol and its ability to clog arteries and increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, and diabetes.
A decade later, scientists admitted to making a mistake: there are actually two types of cholesterol, and eggs contain the good.
They are also rich in iron and protein, as well as the antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin, which protect against age-related eye diseases such as macular degeneration and cataracts.
For many, many years of loyal co-star was from us as junk food.
However, popcorn has been found to contain more antioxidants (called polyphenols) than fruits and vegetables.
And studies show that polyphenols lower the risk of heart disease and cancer. Another plus of popcorn: It is VERY low in calories (yes!) And a whole grain product.
However, make sure that it doesn’t contain any additional artificial flavor. Best at home!
3. Whole milk
For years we have been told to stick to the skimmed version to reduce the amount of fat we consume.
However, recent studies show that all of the fats in milk provide our body with many essential nutrients and even make the blood more resistant to certain types of cancer.
Whole milk also helps you lose weight and reduces the risk of diabetes!
Not too long ago, caffeine was accused of all sorts of “sins”: causing high blood pressure, heart problems, nervous system damage, etc.
However, recent studies show that drinking coffee actually leads to a lower rate of heart disease and premature death.
Coffee drinkers were also less susceptible to diseases such as cirrhosis of the liver, type 2 diabetes and even neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
The story here is the same as that of popcorn. There’s nothing wrong with pizza if you do it at home! In fact, it’s a great source and mix of different nutrients.
Think about it: protein, vegetables, some carbohydrates (use a whole grain crust), and your favorite fresh or dried herbs. Talk about an efficient 3 in 1!
